Our Little Bubble (GGJ 2025)

A take on the perspective of a "bubble boy" for the Global Game Jam 2025 theme of Bubble, someone with such severe immunodeficiency that they live in a physical bubble, this game explores their perspective when living on their own for the first time after their parents passed. Living by themselves in a home like this for the first time makes every creak and crevice sound louder than it actually is, and without anyone else there to suppress their doubts, thoughts of the worst can begin to eat them alive. What's worse, is when they start hearing their own voice speak back to them.

Created within the game engine Twine, this branching narrative-based game explores the genre of psychological horror with themes of isolation, paranoia, declining health, and hallucinations as a byproduct of being left alone and not being able to escape it.
